We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body (2 Cor. 4:8-10).
I don’t know about you, but I know that God is too wise and loving to place our destiny into the hands of another person. It is definitely not His intention for another person’s action to control our future. Therefore, what you and I do from this point on is entirely up to us. The devil wants us to live in yesterday, he is always telling us what we cannot do or become, and his method is only to bring up our past and turn our attention backwards. But God is calling us today; He wants to sow in us a desire to move forward, and until we have a vision to move ahead, we will always be living in yesterday’s struggle. The very fact that we have a desire is an indication that better days are ahead of us. If we can only face up to our own sins and take hold of the hand of our Forgiving God, then you and I can overcome anything. We can overcome the past influence of any person or evil circumstances. We can live and not die.
I don’t know how God intends for you to defeat the devil this year. It may be a new business, a new Ministry, or just a volunteer position you are to fill. I don’t know what specifically is within you, but I do know it is great. I also do not know what opportunity God has given you, but I do know that it will be perfect for you. Maybe it’s an idea you have had for years but never pursued; or a dream you have held but have been afraid to voice; or even a drive that wells up in you from time to time but you never put it into motion. My friend, go ahead and use what God has given you, the devil cannot stand up against you. Whatever it is now is the time to bring forth the treasure that God has sown in you and today is your day.
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6) The true meaning of Christmas is that God loved us so much that while we were living in sin He sacrificed His only Son to redeem us from our sins, and that through Him we would experience Life instead of Death and Life Everlasting. He is no Longer a Baby lying in a manger but He now sits at the right hand of God the Father making intercession on our behalf. As you celebrate this Christmas holiday, just don’t celebrate the King of all Kings and Lord of all Lords from your pocket only; instead, I implore you to celebrate Him from your heart sharing His Love with someone else other than your own families and friends. Have a very Merry and Blessed Christmas.
I am GOD'S Idea and it is impossible for GOD to have anything but a Good Idea! I Look at yourself in GOD'S Mirror today and see all of who HE made me to be from inside out. I Value myself today the way HE values me and that is Beyond Measure. HE has only one person in mind to fill my role in HIS plan and that's me. So I am letting go of my past, so my hands and heart can be free for what GOD has for me now. I am not quitting or neither am I giving up; instead, I am going to give birth to the promise that GOD has released in my life and look for it to be born in me and to be a Blessing!
Thank GOD today for making you exactly the way you are and for transforming you day by day into exactly the person HE wants you to be. You are without Comparison in HIS Eyes and the most attractive part of you is deep within you, just waiting to be expressed. Jeremiah 1:5 Now take a look at someone and see that person as GOD sees him/her, see all that has made him/her who he/she is, and then look even deeper to see all that GOD has created him/her to be. Galatians 5:14
Never let your past reputation or the nature of your problem keep you from going to GOD and asking for a miracle. Believe GOD today for HIS now Blessing in your life, ask HIM to reveal to you how you might help and bless others. Now is your time to enter into HIS service no longer as an orphan child, but as HIS Ambassador. HE has loosed you so that you might loose others in HIS Name! GOD has an appointment seed for all of us to birth; please don't let anything or anyone keep you from your appointment with HIM today.
Sometimes we pray asking God to handle a problem for us, or to fulfill a dream we have, but instead of letting it go for Him to handle, we continue to hold on to it trying to handle it on our own and it ought not to be so. Today, the word of the Lord for us is:
(Isaiah 58:11) “The LORD will guide you continually; and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.”
(Luke 18:27) “The things which are impossible with men are possible with GOD.”
(Hebrew 10:35-38) “Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of GOD, you may receive the promise: “For yet a little while, And He who is coming will come and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith.”
So, the next time you ask GOD to handle something for you, just leave it in His capable hands, and do as David encourages us to do in Psalm 37:5 - “Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.”
